1. 2-MAN TEAM STROKE PLAY

Definition: A format in which a two man team matches the total net score of their two balls against the two balls of the other teams in their flight. Handicap: 100%

Pairings: Select your own partner. Team partner handicaps cannot be more than ten strokes apart.

Flights: Flights are determined by the total handicaps of the two players. Duration: One day tournament.

Prizes: Winners and runners-up in each flight will receive prizes certificates. (In the event of ties, see Tournament Rules and Regulations - Section 7, Ties)

Trophy: A trophy will be awarded to the two players with the lowest net score against the entire field. In the event of a tie, a sudden death play off would start at the first hole.

2. TWO MAN BETTER BALL/SCOTCH PLAY

This is a format in which a two man team plays their better ball (net) against the field on the first day, and on the second day uses the alternate shot Chapman System resulting in a two-day total score competition.

Handicap: BB – 90%; Scotch – 60% Low HDCP 40% High HDCP.

Pairings: Select your own partner or committee will pair you up. Team handicaps cannot be more than 10 strokes apart.

Flights: You will be flighted by the total handicap of the team. Duration: A two day tournament. A team must play both days to receive credit.

Prizes: Gift certificates will be awarded to the teams in each flight with the lowest net scores. In the event of a tie, the teams would have to be available for a sudden death play off starting at the first hole using the same format as day 1.

Trophy: A trophy will be awarded to the team with the lowest net score. In the event of a tie, the teams would have to be available for a sudden death play off starting at the first hole using the day one format.

Remarks: On the first day, score better ball of partners for low net. Second day, use CHAPMAN SYSTEM. Each player drives off tee, each player then hits partner’s ball, then select one ball and hit alternate shots into cup. Record gross score.

On par 3 holes, each player drives off tee, then select one ball and hit alternate shots or putts into cup. Record gross score. Handicap will be deducted from gross.

3. INDIVIDUAL 36 HOLE STROKE PLAY

Definition: An event in which each individual player plays against the field in his flight. The competitor who plays the stipulated round or rounds in the fewest strokes is the winner.

When open to entire Association, play 15.1+ from set of tees forward of 15.0-, except for par three holes. Handicap: 100%

Pairings: Individual play. Foursomes will be made up by committee. Flights: Players will be placed in flights based on handicaps.

Duration: A two day tournament will be played depending upon the availability of courses on two consecutive days.

Prizes: Gift certificates will be awarded to individual winners in each flight who have posted the lowest 36 hole scores (gross and net). Only one prize may be won by a player.

Trophy: Trophies will be awarded to the low gross winner and the low net winner playing against the total field. Ties will be broken by sudden death play off starting at the first hole

4. INDIVIDUAL MATCH PLAY

Definition: This is a single elimination tournament. The game is played by holes. A hole is won by the competitor who holes his ball in the fewer strokes.

Handicap: None

Pairings: All flights will have eight players each. All matches will be scratch play. Players in each flight will be matched as per USGA format. Players in the championship flight will play one tee position back from the rest of the field.

Duration: This is a two day event. Day 1: Individual Match Play - two nine hole matches. Day 2: Winners of match play will continue in 18 Hole Match Play to determine flight winners. Those eliminated from match play will play an 18 Hole Net Stableford Event.

Prizes: A gift certificate will be awarded to the winner and runner-up in each flight.

Trophy: A trophy will be awarded to the winner of the Championship flight. Plaques will be given to the winners of the other flights. All ties will be broken in sudden death play off starting at the first hole Last year’s champion will be guaranteed to defend his championship if he so desires.

Remarks: Players who win their matches are expected to continue play in the tournament. Players who lose in he first day are expected to play in the day two consolation tournament.

5. ONE AND TWO BEST BALL OF FOUR

Definition: A one or two day event in which the 18 hole net score is based upon the one best net score or the two best net scores made on each hole during each round.

Handicap: One best of four – 80% Two best of four – 90%. Pairings: Individual play. Foursomes will be made up by the tournament committee.

Duration: A two day tournament will be played on two consecutive days.

Prizes: Gift certificates will be awarded to the teams who have posted the lowest one or two day 18 hole score, In the event of ties, see Tournament Rules and Regulations - Section 7, Ties.

6. STABLEFORD

Definition: A form of stroke play in which the NET score on each hole is converted by a player to a predetermined point system for a Bogie, Par, Birdie, Eagle, or Double Eagle.

Double bogie or over receives no points. Handicap: 100% - For Individual Events & 4 man Stableford.  90% - For Better Ball Team Events.

Pairings: Can be played as an individual event or a two or four man team event. Select you own partner for two man team event. The team partners’ handicaps must be no more than 10 strokes apart. The tournament committee will make pairings based on handicaps.

Flights: Players will be placed in flights based on handicaps in individual and two man events only; four man events, play versus the field. Two man teams will be flighted based on total handicap. Duration: One day tournament. ALL POINTS ARE DETERMINED FROM NET SCORES. NET SCORE ON HOLE POINTS:

Double Bogie or worse 0, Bogie 1, Par 2,  Birdie 3, Eagle 4, Double Eagle 5.

Prizes: The individuals or teams scoring the highest number of points will receive gift certificates. In the event of ties, see Tournament Rules and Regulations - Section 7, Ties.

A trophy will be awarded to the winner of the super seniorevent.

7. INDIVIDUAL MATCH PLAY VS. PAR

Definition: A format in which a player matches his score

against Par. Handicap: 100%. Pairings: Individual play. Flights: Players will be placed in flights based on handicaps. Duration: One day tournament.

Method of scoring: Each player should enter his gross and net scores for each hole. When the Players NET score is less than par, a plus (+) is scored. When the NET score equals par, a zero (0) is scored. When the Players NET score is greater than par, a minus (-) is scored. The sum of pluses and minuses determines the final score for the event.

Prizes: Gift certificates will be awarded to winners in each flight who score best against PAR. In the event of ties, see Tournament Rules and Regulations - Section 7, Ties.

8. TWO MAN MATCH PLAY VS. PAR

Definition: An event in which two players match their better ball against PAR. One partner must finish each hole. Handicap: 90%

Pairings: Choose your own partner. Team partners’ handicaps should be no more than 10 strokes apart. Foursomes will be made up by the tournament committee.

Flights: Two man teams will be placed in flights based on the total handicap of the team.

Duration: One day tournament.

Method of scoring: Each team should enter the gross and net score for the better ball. When the net score of the better ball is less than PAR, a plus (+) is scored. When the net score equals PAR, a zero (0) is scored. When the net score is greater than PAR, a minus (-) is scored. The sum of pluses and minuses determines the final score for the event.

9. ONE BETTER BALL OF PARTNERS

Definition: An event in which a 2-man team matches their better ball net against their flight. Handicap: 90%. Pairings: Choose your own partner.

Flights: Teams will be flighted based on the total handicaps of each team. Duration: One day tournament.

Prizes: Gift certificates will be awarded to the low net teams in each flight.

NOTE: In the event that a two-man team has a handicap difference exceeding 10 strokes, the higher handicap will be reduced until there is a 10 stroke difference.

10. 3 - 2 - 1

Definition: An event in which the 18 hole score is based upon the sum of the net scores on each hole. The par 3’s use the best (3) net scores on the hole, the par 4’s use the best (2) net scores on the hole, and the par 5’s use the best (1) net score. Handicap: 90%

Pairings: Foursomes will be made by the tournament committee. Can be flighted or field event.

Duration: Normally a one day event. Can be a two day event depending on the availability of course.

Prizes: Gift certificates will be awarded to the winners who have the lowest 18 hole score. In the event of ties, see Tournament Rules and Regulations - Section 7, Ties.

11. 1 - 2 - 3

Definition: An event in which the 18 hole score is based upon the sum of the net scores on each hole. On par 3’s use the best (1) net score, par 4’s the best (2) net scores, and the par 5’s the best (3) net scores. Handicap: 90%.

Pairings: Foursomes will be made by the tournament committee. Can be flighted or field event. Duration: Normally a one day event.

Prizes: Gift certificates will be awarded to winners who have the lowest 18 hole score. In the event of ties, see Tournament Rules and Regulations - Section 7, Ties.

12. Scramble (Step Aside)

A scramble is a four man team event. Each player will hit a ball from each tee. The teams will then select the best ball and mark its location. Note that it is required to use a minimum of three drives by each player within the 18 holes. Each player, except for the player whose shot was selected (he steps aside), in turn may then place a ball within one club length of that location but no closer to the hole and make another shot. If the chosen ball is in the fairway, the ball must be placed in the fairway; if the chosen ball is in a hazard, the ball must be placed in the hazard; and if the ball is in the rough, it must be placed in the rough. This process continues until the chosen ball is holed out.

Play on a given hole ends when the first ball has been holed out. The score for that hole is the number of “best” strokes required to hole out. The overall team score will be the sum of the hole scores. IF LESS THAN A 4 MAN TEAM: If a team has less than four (4) players at the time the match begins, that team will not be permitted to compete. The members of the team will receive credit for the event, and their checks will not be cashed. They may still play golf that day by paying the appropriate cart fee, but they will not be in the competition. The Event Chairmen will do all possible to make up four man teams, but when this is impossible, the above procedure will be implemented.

Pairings: Foursomes will be made by tournament committee.

13. Shamble

A Shamble is a four man team event. Each player will hit a ball from each tee. The team captain will select a tee shot and mark its location. Note that it is required to use a minimum of three drives by each player within the 18 holes. Each player will then place his ball with 1 club length of the selected tee shot, no closer to the hole, and shall play all subsequent shots using his own ball, till holed out. The place of the ball for the second shot shall be with the same restrictions as described under 12. Step Aside Scramble. The team score shall be the sum of the two best net scores of the foursome. The same prohibition on playing anything but a four-man team as in 12 shall also apply. Handicap: 80%Pairings: Foursomes will be made by tournament committee.

14. 6 – 6 – 6

Definition: A 4 Man team event in which the 18 hole score isbased upon the sum of the net scores on each hole. On holes #1 thru # 6 use the best 1 net score, on holes #7 thru #12 use the best 2 net scores, and on holes #13 thru #18 use the best 3 net scores. Handicap: 90%

Pairings: Foursomes will be made by the tournament committee. Can be flighted or field event. Duration: Normally a one day event.
